jOSE Zamora, a California native, was born in 1973 into a family of artists and musicians. One day when he was young Jose was introduced to the works of the great artists of history, from the Flemish Baroque to the great Impressionists, and knew from the moment his eyes hit those pages that this was the world he wanted to live in. To further his ambitions he attended Art Center College & Design in Pasadena majoring in illustration, and Associates in Art in California studying animation. He was immediately picked up by the Walt Disney Company and has explored many fantastic art positions within their halls. There Jose's work has included the entire range from conceptual art to product development. Along with his professional work Jose continues to explore the wide world of plein air painting and the discipline of portrait painting every chance he gets. Whether in gleaning the secrets of the great artists, exploring the wonders nature, or mining his imagination Jose is always searching for the new.
Artist Statement: “Nature is and always will be my art studio.”
